Failure to Provide Driver Details

Motor Law

If you fail to provide driver details when required to do so the court will impose 6 penalty points and can consider a disqualification from driving. It is viewed as more serious than the offence that is being investigated i.e. speeding, as it is seen as an attempt to thwart the court process.

Our lawyers have extensive experience in defending these cases. The procedure in these cases needs to be considered carefully. Failure to follow the right procedure can result in the case against you failing.

DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PROVIDE FALSE DETAILS AS THIS FREQUENTLY RESULTS IN PROSECUTIONS FOR PERVERTING THE COURSE OF JUSTICE AND PRISON SENTENCES FOLLOW.

SENTENCE

6 Penalty points, discretionary disqualification and a fine.
